I've recently slowly been getting out my fall decor for the season. Naturally as the years go by my style has slowly changed. I was going to donate some old foam pumpkins I purchased from the Dollar Store that aren't my style anymore, but thought I'd just make them my style! I grabbed some yarn I had on hand and purchased some new yarn I got from the Dollar Store and got to work!

Materials Needed -

  • Foam Pumpkins (Dollar Store, Target, Walmart)
  • Yarn (Dollar Store, Hobby Lobby, Walmart)
  • Scissors
  • Sticks or Cinnamon sticks

Step One - Remove Stem from pumpkin

Step Two - Deconstruct pumpkin

The pumpkins I had on hand had fabric around them.

Step Three - Make hole in center

To allow space for the yarn, I used my scissors to carve a good size hole in the center of the pumpkin.

Step Four - String Yarn through hole

Step Five - Tie yarn

Step Six - String yarn through hole

This step took the longest. I did 3-4 long strands per pumpkin, repeating steps 4-6 to get the finished look. I just used my finger and balled up the yarn to string it through the hole.

Don't be discouraged if it's not looking like it'll come together, with a little time and effort it will look as cute as can be! I put on a good show on Netflix and got to stringing.

After you have completely strung the yarn around the pumpkin, push a stick or a cinnamon stick in the hole and you're done!

Here's the final product and I am seriously in love with how they turned out. I think they're my favorite pumpkins I have in my fall decor!
