I like to make many different styled pumpkins every year to add to my Fall decor. The Dollar Tree carries foam pumpkins and you can do so many different techniques on them and this is no different.

Grab your Mardi Gras beads and let’s get started!

Materials you need for this pumpkin:

Mardi Gras beads

Styrofoam pumpkin

A stem (you could use a branch or a real stem)

Paint (any color you like - I used grey)

Hot glue gun

Paint brush

We will start with our beads - cut them in half so you can begin gluing them to the pumpkin.

Using your hot glue, place the beads on your pumpkin making sure they stick to the styrofoam really well.

This is the bottom of my pumpkin. I crossed them while keeping them nice and flat.

I then added more trying not to bunch up on the bottom.

On the top, I left a space for my stem to sit on the pumpkin.

I then painted the whole pumpkin and the beads. Like I mentioned before, you can use any color your like.

Let it dry before adding your stem.

Just use some hot glue to secure the stem to the top of the pumpkin.

Hold it on until it’s dry and secured in place.

Next, add some white highlights on the beads and curves of the pumpkin to give it some dimension.

That's it! It's so simple to make but it looks really stylish. It only cost me $2! What do you think?

Here are a bunch I have tried. Here are some ideas of other materials you can use. Mops, fabric, paint, beads, fishnet stockings, mode podge napkin, leg warmers, doilies, vintage chenille, lace and rope are just a few ideas. Be creative share below any of your creative ideas.

Where did you get the stemps you used on your pumpkins? I see th ones in your reply to someone that your stems are all the same or similar. Thanks!

On the table at the end, how did you make the pumpkin that looks like it's wearing fishnet stockings? They're all beautiful but that one really stands out. Thanks for sharing!
