How can I seal a bottle cap tray?

I made a tray with bottle caps, I grouted around the bottle caps, now I want to seal it. I do not want to use resin. Is there anything else I can use?

Hello there Renia,
Should have used Bathroom Waterproof grout! Maybe external waterproof sealer or Clear Varnish?

  All grout has the same water resistant qualities. Only grout sealer helps to waterproof.

You can use grout sealer or coat the entire piece with spar varnish. Make sure grout is solid and dry so you don't get sand in your varnish.
