DIY Aromatherapy Spa Pillow

by Adrianne Surian
(IC: blogger)
Give yourself a little spa pampering! Make an aromatherapy neck pillow using household items. Even if you're not crafty, you can still make one of these in 15 minutes or less!
A soothing neck pillow - you can even warm it up in the microwave for a few seconds for tired muscles.
Here's how to make a warm compress.
You'll need 2-3 cups of rice, a sock, a few drops of essential oils (I like lavender and peppermint, which is a great combo for headaches), and a needle and thread to sew it shut. (If you absolutely cannot sew, use a bit of yarn and tie it tightly shut instead!)

I have used rice socks for heat therapy for years now. I pat a bit of water on the outside of the sock and place in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes. Check after 2 minutes to see how much longer to leave it for your personal heat preference. The most therapy works great on my neck and hip. Rice helps the heat to contour with your body and get in those hard to reach places. LOVE it. I have even given ones to friends. I tie a pretty ribbon around the knot just cause !! -
