DIY Bifold Door Room Divider

I've always wanted to make a privacy screen from doors. I don't know why..it just sounded like fun. I found these at our local thrift store for $8. I had to have them! You should have seen the helper trying to fit them in my car... "Umm lady, I don't think they'll fit." Me.."Oh, yes they will!" I drove home holding them with one hand above my gear shift.
Now that I've done this, I see how easy it is to make your own room divider or privacy screen from bifold doors. You can do this too! I have simple instructions and painting tips to make painting all of those door slats a breeze!

DIY Room diver is an easy project and best of all it's inexpensive!
A steal at $8. I was determined to fit them in my mini SUV. Give them a good cleaning with soap or TSP as a deglosser.
Take off hardware before painting.
I reattached the hinges for a 3 panel divider.
Layers of drybrushing paint is the easiest way to paint bifold slatted doors.
You'll love the finished project!
