I bought a white board meal planner a few years ago and it's been stuck on the front of my fridge ever since. It was looking pretty nasty (take a look at my blog post to see what it looked like after 2 years of use) so I decided to make a new one myself.
I started out by measuring the front of my refrigerator to see what size I wanted it to be. Then I cut some chalkboard Contact paper. This is super easy to cut since it has the grid on the back!

I used chalk markers to draw lines around the edges and to separate the days.
Then I wrote the days of the week up at the top of each column. This is a little bigger than my old one but I really like the size. I have enough room to write ideas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on each day.
I’ll be writing my meal ideas with regular chalk. This has worked out great so far. At the end of the week I just take a dry cloth and wipe across. The lines and days of the week stay since they’re in marker. But if I ever wanted to change them I could use a damp cloth.

Last year I was diagnosed with diabetes and told to keep track of what we were eating. I found this "white board" menu idea works great for the two of us. I also had to figure out how to "organize" the refrigerator - with "healthy food"...not junk.-

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Will the contact paper come off the fridge for future changes?
I really like this except the week starts on Sunday, not Monday. Was there a reason you started the week on the wrong day?
