DIY Gold Decorative Sphere Made From Hula Hoops

This DIY Gold Decorative Sphere is made entirely from hula hoops! Using hula hoops from the Dollar Tree, I inserted the hoops inside each other and used picture hanging wire to hold them together. Once the sphere was created, I used gold metallic spray paint to give it the final look. It's a great decorative home decor accessory.

Four hula hoops from the Dollar Tree were used to create the sphere.

I removed the ribbon and interlocked the hoops together.

I used picture hanging wire to hold the hula hoops together.

It's a great home decor decorative accessory.

Are all of the hoops the same size? Did you have a problem keeping them round?

Super idea! Anyone have suggestions as to a paint that would stick if used outside? This would make a great garden feature, but, being plastic, I sadly doubt paint would adhere and withstand the wearher. I visualize these in various sizes and finishes either standing alone or on different bases as wonderful yard art. Thanks for the creativity.

I will use your idea, except I will add fairy lights for my yard at Christmas time. I'm not sure what color I will be using.
