DIY Painted Door Mat

I picked up this plain green door mat from the dollar store, not entirely sure what to do with it. Then I decided I can use it on my back patio, at the door that leads from the garden to the laundry room. That door doesn't get a ton of use, so I figured this cheap mat would do, but I couldn't leave it in its natural state. It was so boring originally.
Below you can see what it looked like originally- just plain green. I grabbed the painter's tape and got to work.
I used the tape to lay out a pattern.
I then sprayed it with white paint and removed the tape.
I love my little mat. It's been holding up just fine for us, and every time I walk through that door, I smile now! It makes me happy to see it!
