DIY Pedestal Candle Holder
This DIY was prompt by seasonal decor shuffle. I'm busy reshuffling decor around my house and I felt I needed contemporary candle holders so I googled it and picked these sleek tapered pedestals as inspiration. They are available at worldmarket and not on this side of the world and they seemed pretty DIY-able to me.
First, you'll need a cup. Make sure it's study enough that holding a candle wouldn't break it.
Next find an old candle that is finished and take the lid.
Put adhesive around the bottom of your cup.
Grab the old candle lid and put it on the glue. Make sure the part of the candle lid that faces the candle is the side you put up. Once you place it on the cup tug it a tiny bit to make sure it's secure. If it shakes or moves go ahead and add extra glue around the rim.
Last, spray paint everything. You can choose whatever color you want! Be mindful if the color is very light and the cup is dark it may require extra coats of spray paint.
This DIY is the easiest one you'll find out there. I needed contemporary candle holders so I googled it & picked these sleek tapered pedestal candle holder and they looked pretty DIYable to me.
All you need is a large party cup, lid of an old candle jar & some spray paint.
- Flip the party cup over and glue the lid on top.
- Spray paint your choice of color and you're done!
Add a pillar candle on top and enjoy!

Gorgeous outcome! I never know what to do with those lids. Paint job is perfect. Do not look diy by any means! I imagine any metal spray paint color would be just as beautiful. Thanks for sharing your idea.
