All items for this project are available at the Dollar Tree except the Mod Podge. This is an easy project to add an Autumn focal point to your home that doesn't look 'homemade'. Making several of these candles would be perfect as a centerpiece for your Fall table. Happy Creating everyone!
Start with a clean glass candlestick & square vase from the Dollar Tree. You don't want any residue or fingerprints on the glass.
Pull Fall leaves from the branches.
Coat the square vase with a heavy coat of Mod Podge.
Coat the back of the leaves with a heavy coat of Mod Podge.
Apply the leaves to the square vase, overlapping at the edges of the leaves. Set it aside until the Mod Podge has dried.
Once the Mod Podge has dried, coat the rim of the vase with Mod Podge. (make sure it is dry before this step.)
Sprinkle the rim of the vase with some fine copper colored glitter. Set it aside to dry.
Apply some Mod Podge to the edges of the candlestick & add glitter. Set it aside to dry.
Use a dry paint brush to dust off the excess glitter from the candlestick & vase.
Apply E-6000 to the rim of the candlestick.
Glue the candlestick to the vase. Let it dry over night to insure a solid bond.
Add a candle & it's done! I use battery operated candles so it can be used anywhere. (like on a bookcase)
To turn this into a vignette, you'll need the candle, a small floral foam block, some fall leaves, a couple of accent pieces (I used Bobble Head Scarecrows), some glittered branches and some small glittered pumpkins. Cover the foam with the branches in the back & fill in with the fall leaves. Place the candle in front of the foam. Add the other items around it. Vignette is done.

Thanks Crystal. Ours has just started to carry it also, but if you compare the size & price to the price at Walmart or Michael's or Joanne's using a coupon, it's much cheaper to go there. Happy Creating!
