This finished project looks like old and expensive leather.
Just begin with a book from your attic. Tape off an area for the imitation gold leaf, then center a stencil in position. Use an off-set knife to "butter" on Wood Icing™ Textura Paste.
Paint two coats of Old White Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. Paint on leaf size, let come to tack, then smooth on gold leaf. Burnish with wax paper.
Use a fat stencil brush to paint on Royal Design Studio stencil creme in Antique Gold. Wipe the book cover with Annie Sloan Dark Soft Wax and buff.
