How To Make Embellished Hand Towels

5 Materials
This quick, easy tutorial will help you create beautiful embellished hand towels to customize your home decor inexpensively. While you CAN sew on your ribbon or fabric, hot glue is the quickest and easiest, if you don't have a sewing machine. This towel is meant for decoration only, not daily use, so it shouldn’t require washing. I hope you enjoy these simple DIY embellished hand towels to dress your bathroom or kitchen decor. Gather your supplies. Choose a hand towel in a color to coordinate with your space.
Open folded towel completely and find the “bottom front” side of your towel. Measure ribbon by spreading it out across the bottom and cutting it even with the finished edges of towel.
Run hot glue on ribbon in a zig zag pattern, 3” at a time, begin on one end and smooth across the towel where you want it. Continue all the way across. Let it dry for 2-3 minutes.
Fold your towel up as if it is ready to hang, find the front. Lay out your buttons or other embellishment items to find a pattern you like along the bottom above the ribbon. Secure them with glue and allow to dry for 2-3 minutes. Now you can hang and enjoy. Please follow me on Facebook to see more fun projects.
