Hello there friends. I was in Hobby Lobby last weekend and found the cutest little vintage-looking resin pots that I wanted to do something with. And their floral was half off so I picked up a few olive stems and decided to try an olive tree topiary. It took less than 5 minutes and 10 dollars to make this topiary and I can’t wait to show you all how easy peasy this was.
Hold 2 olive stems together and add a  wood floral stake between them to give a little extra support. Begin wrapping the stems in the brown floral tape, from the top all the way down to the bottom.
Place your  green styrofoam block into your pot so that it’s snug. You may need to cut it some, depending on the size of your pot. I used a utility knife to trim a little off of mine.
Take your stem and stick it in the center of your styrofoam block, all the way down until it reaches the bottom of your pot. If the styrofoam is not snug in the pot, your topiary may lean to one side. If this happens, cut some small pieces of foam to sick on the sides of your foam block until it becomes snug.
Once you have your stem in place, take some of the Spanish Moss and place it around the top of the foam and you are done! Easy peasy, I tell ya!
I just got these cute  round willow trays that I styled on my wall from  Decor Steals and absolutely love them (btw, they have a gorgeous  dough bowl for a steal today… I am sooo tempted). Y’all, I’m trying to do everything I can to distract the eye from that tv. My sweet friend  Sarah at Little Vintage Nest just shared the cutest little barn door sliders to cover her tv on her Instagram stories. I was thinking that would be perfect, but then came to the realization that my wall is not large enough for the sliders.
Now who’s ready to make an olive tree topiary? Aren’t they just the cutest. I got the resin pots for $2 when they were half off at Hobby Lobby. I seriously wanted to buy every. single. one. They are just too darn cute!
