Button Lampshade--To Line or Not to Line?

Second, I've been wanting to do a button-covered lamp shade for some time. When I found a shade that looked as if it would work, I decided to forge ahead. (If, that is, one can define "forging ahead" as taking forever to complete.)

So, if you were considering buying such a creation, would you prefer it lined or would you be satisfied with it not?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
For further details, see my blog post about it at http://sumpnsassy.blogspot.com/2014/10/to-line-or-not-to-line.html
