Button Lampshade--To Line or Not to Line?

This is what the original lampshade looked like: just the top layer, no lining.

Here it is, button-covered (Or at least, mostly. There's still a patch on the backside that needs to be done. But I'll get there soon, or eventually, or one of these days; take your pick.)

Here's the underside, stitches showing. So the question is: should I line? I bought the china silk and made a pattern before I began stitching on the buttons so I'm prepared to do so. My hesitation comes from the fact that normally in making lampshades, I pull the lining around the frame to the front and glue it, then add the top layer over that with the joining covered by the trim. In this instance, I'd either have to try to glue the lining as much beneath the underside trim as possible or turn under a hem and stitch it on. (No fear of the hem showing through to the front when the light's on because of all the buttons.)
So, if you were considering buying such a creation, would you prefer it lined or would you be satisfied with it not?
