    You will need a bit for your drill that is used for this purpose. Go to your local home improvement store and tell them what you want to do and they will be able to help you find the bit you will need and anything else you need to make sure it will stay secure on the bricks.

      If the bricks don't get hot where you are planning on mounting it, the TV should be fine. If you have it on a mount that isn't keeping the TV close against the bricks warm should be ok as the air between should keep the TV a bit cooler.
