Can you fix scuff marks on children’s boots?
SandyG on Dec 06, 2017Are you using wax leather shoe polish? If the leather is gone, wax polish will build up a layer of wax. With really bad scuffs and leather loss, the only way to repair completely is to replace leather and that can be expensive. Apply wax polish and buff and then apply another coat of wax polish and use a soft shoe polishing brush and buff.Helpful Reply
Ken on Dec 06, 2017If leather is actually gone and polish won't cover it is time for new boots. Shoes and boots are made to be consumables. That is, they protect your feet by giving up their lives. I remember being pretty hard on shoes and boots. Comes with being a kid.Helpful Reply
17335038 on Dec 08, 2017Are the boots genuine leather, or vinyl? Are the boots made for wearing in the snow or are they more of a light outdoors/indoor boot, such as a cowboy boot? Polish will be effective in hiding the marks only if there is enough substance left to the leather.Helpful Reply
