How can I update ceiling fan light shade?

You can paint them with an opaque or swap out for the cages.

Hi Judith, you can find new shades for it, they will have a standard opening, check thrift stores for vintage styles, or buy new. You could also paint the ones you have with an etching paint. Hope these help you out

You could replace them with new, or you could use Coloured Sharpies and draw simple flowers etc. on them or you could decoupage them with paper napkins and Mod podge!

Just because its a fan, you may have to replace the whole thing. If its old, then maybe a good idea to replace

Use Sharpie Black pen to make a pattern and then colour the shapes in with different colours to look like coloured glass.
