I would not suggest doing this...a chance of mold starting. It is too high up to keep it under observation for mold. All the steam rises up there! -

I agree plus the cleaning would be a nightmare. I’d use a bathtub wire shelving unit that can hold your bathroom products. -

Hi there, a long time ago I put a 1x4 cut to length on top of my tub surround. I did not need to secure it. It just sits on top of the surround.I also drilled two holes in it at one end using a paddle bit to insert my razors. I also screwed in two cup hooks to hang my back scratcher and scrunchy. Not only that I bought two small metal towel bars and screwed them in on the underside of the board to hang washcloths.I have never had a problem with mold! I love this shelf!
