I was just looking into the same thing for my veil! The most exciting idea I found was making jewelry out of it. Like pendant earrings and necklaces that have lace overlay. You could pass it down as family heirlooms. Good luck!

I'd try to donate them for brides who can't afford one, like Fairy Tale Brides or the Salvation Army...I once turned one into a Christening gown for my sister's baby (it was her gown so it stayed in the family). You can also make doll clothes out of it (a mini wedding dress?)

How about a table runner or doilies? You can also use the lace for pillow shams, curtains or valance or as trim for clothing items. You could add lace to camisole shirts at the neck, around the tops of socks that poke out of boots or trim on shorts. Lace on shorts is all of the rage right now!

There is a lady at our local hospital who makes beautiful gowns for babies that are born with terminal illnesses to be buried in . The ladies in our community donate their wedding dresses to the cause . Is there a charity like this in your area ?

You can always donate your wedding dress to any Angel Gown group in your area. These groups take the dresses & create Angels Gowns for babies who do not come home from the hospital. The gowns are donated to hospitals free of charge!
