Looking for projects to keep me busy,slightly artistic. HELP!!!!!!

Yes, I am trying to stop thinking of projects LOL. . . well let's see, quilting, sewing, scrap booking, everything I see suggests a project to me. i.e. my husband got our son-in-law a beautiful anarak for Christmas. The information with it says it is made out of a blanket. Well I have some lovely heavy wool blankets I got at an estate sale, so I am thinking, maybe I could make an anarak! I do decoupage which is very artistic, yet inexpensive to do, can be as small or as large as one wants. Made this china head out of broken bits of blue and white china. Framed a bunch of prints from a book in very inexpensive frames. Made 8 wreaths from dollar store wreaths. Some of these things were done years ago, some in the past month. What are you drawn to? What do you admire the most on forums like these or on pinterest? Some times just rearranging things in the most artistic way possible is a good project.

Oh Velma, have you come to the right place! I think learning new ways to express ourselves is a way to share your gifts with the world! You could take a class in knitting, quilting, painting, sculpting, cooking, baking, gardening, dancing, writing, etc, etc, etc, no limits. You do not have extra money to spend? No problem, learn online or from a community group or from a friends. Start small, maybe touch on interest you had in the pat, like photography or flower arranging. Read up on how to press flowers or paint small works of art, then mount on card stock paper to make card. You can make candles, candies, cards, cookies, soap, soup, stew, chili, quilts, pillows, rag rugs, sachets. What catches your attention every time you see it mentioned on tv, a magazine article or a conversation? Start there!

Wow - the ideas are in the thousands. Keep looking through this site to get ideas. Pinterest is also another site that can get your creativity flowing. If you are not sure about a project, don't do it - you won't finish it. Start easy and small.

Easy ones to start with are patchwork. This is a long term craft, but you can pick up and leave when you want.

A good short term craft that you don't need too much equipment is jewellery making. You can use old jewellery beads and new jewellery findings. Good times ahead.
