Under cabinet lighting

did you have to cut a notch under where each cabinet sets next to each other.
What do you think of running an extention cord up the wall instead of the lights.

I bought magnet battery operated lights that go under my cabinets so I wouldn't have to drill or worry about outlets. We got them at Lowes. -

Chas, the magnetic lights is a great option if you have metal cabinets. You still can use them with wood cabinets, but you would have to attach metal strips with glue, screws or staples. 😇 -

I chose strips that are connected with short wires and tacked up the wires neatly but I only have one spot where two cabinet frames come together. My type comes in various lengths so a single length per cabinet.
