When I was giving my hallway a much needed makeover I wanted something to soften the space up and I needed some added blanket storage. This blanket ladder was the perfect solution to both of those needs!
This ladder cost less than $5 to make!
I used two 2x2x8 furring strips and 3 inch wood screws. I cut the strips down to 5 ft. each then cut the remaining pieces into four, 18 inch pieces. I pre-drilled all of the holes and spaced the rungs/steps about 12 inches apart.
The bottom step will be higher than the others but that helps the bottom blanket from dragging on the floor too much.
I love how this ladder turned out! Storing pretty blankets on it adds a pop of color to the space and keeps things tidy upstairs!
