How can a tin can be both practical and personal at the same time? Easy. Turn any 28 oz tin can (cleaned out, of course) into a personalized photo flower vase. Perfect for remembering the screaming toddler on Santa's knee. Because every grandma wants a photo of that.
Measure the dimensions of your tin can and print the photos to fit the size of the can you are using. I converted my photos to black and white but that is an optional step. The toughest part of this project: narrowing down the best photos to use! I printed the photos on non-glossy photo paper.
Use glue or apply some Mod Podge under the corners of the photos and along the sides. Place the photos onto the can. Avoid getting glue onto the photos themselves as they will smudge.
Trim off any excess photo paper for a clean and finished look. If desired add some ribbon or pom pom trim. See the finished product here. Add some cut flowers or a small potted plant and make someone special extra happy today! For another DIY gift idea, learn how to use craft beads to make a Melted Bead Bowl Gift Basket.
