Vintage Book Fairy House

I love vintage books and I created this Fairy house using 3 books I bought at Goodwill.
I used 3 vintage books, a small picture frame (more on this below) and 3 "jar jewelry" embellishments. I removed the pages of the books (which I will use for several other crafts
)

The jar jewelry embellishments were curved to fit nicely on a jar, so I had to flatten them. Then I placed them on the book where I wanted a window and traced the inside so I could cut it out. I repeated this for all 3 books and then hot glued the embellishments to the books for my windows.
I wanted to make a fairy door so I cut the top off of this picture frame (I will save the top for another project :)
I used 2 gold leaf beads (that I cut to loop off of) for hinges, 1 gold bead for the doorknob and blue popsicle sticks.
Here is my finished door. Cute huh? I just hot glued the popsicle sticks on the back of the frame and then hot glued the doorknob and hinges on the front. I hot glued the door to the green book.
I wanted "tenants" for my fairy house, so I printed out fairy silhouettes and taped them on the inside of the windows. I hot glued the books together and then to a cardboard base for stability.
I placed electric tea lights inside each of the 3 books.....
And here is the finished house

Another view.
It's place in my livingroom.

This is super cute and would go well really in a child's room or nursery - really anywhere you want to add a little fantasy.
