This DIY reversible sign makes it easier to freshen your home decor. I don’t want to pack everything away as I change things around, but I do want to keep the decor fresh and seasonal. Having a reversible sign with a light and dark side is the key to this DIY.
This sign would make a great handmade gift for Mother's Day too!
I love this craft wood. It's 15" across and only $7 at Lowe's. Home Depot has something similar and Amazon sells craft wood rounds too.
I stained the whole piece, then painted one side white before adding a coat of polyurethane. Having a light and dark side is one way to make this sign work with all of your decor changes throughout the year,
I found free art online, sized it to 15" in Powerpoint, added my own text, and printed in Adobe Reader. This free printable is available on my site.

Again, I went with neutral art and text so that it can work all year, but you can customize this to the seasons or times of year. Have a Christmas and Thanksgiving side, or an Easter and Summer side. Or Winter and Summer sides. It's really adjustable to your needs.

A quick video showing how easy it is to transfer text with a pencil and paint markers. I use pencil on light signs and white chalk on dark signs to transfer text. You can also use graphite, carbon paper, and maybe charcoal. Just make sure to apply poly and let it dry before you do the transfer. This will make it easy to wipe away any excess pencil or chalk after you finish tracing the image with the my favorite paint marker.
