Old TV cabinet door turned into a chalk board
My old TV cabinet got too wobbly so rather than sending it to the dump I decided to re-purpose it's parts. This is one of the doors. I removed the hardware and did some light sanding .
Pick up an "Oops" paint and a small can of chalk board paint at Home Depot.
This was after the 1st coat of oops paint. I did a total of 3 coats.
Prepped and ready for the chalk paint! I did do a light sanding of the blue paint before applying the chalk paint.
I ended up having to do about 3 coats of chalk paint to get good even coverage, just doing a light sanding in between coats and a VERY light sandy on the final coat.
FINISHED! Love It!
