DIY Pallet Wood Dog

Create a dog wall hanging that looks like your dog using aged pallet wood. Pallets can be found for free, so making this cost nothing but a few hours of time.
Find an image of a dog that looks like yours. Either enlarge it using a website like block posters or hand draw the dog onto a sheet of Luan. This will be the template for cutting your dog out of a pallet.
Use a jigsaw to cut the dog template out of the Luan. Then clamp the Luan dog template to a section of pallet. Note that the tail is not included. This was cut from a separate piece of pallet.
Position all of the cut from pallet dog parts to line up evenly. Glue strips of scrap Luan to the back of the dog to hold the pieces in place.
Add a hanger, hang, and enjoy! Ours is hanging in our lake house family room! You can see it hanging on the wall at the bottom of our steps in this post.

I thought at first the cut out Luan dog was to be glued to the pallet piece to like hang on the wall.
But I get it now. Looks good.
