DIY Wall Vase

Isn't it fun when two pieces come together perfectly to make unique home decor. That's what happened with a cut glass container and a decorative wood cutting board, both pieces from the thrift store.
The glass vase can be used to hold any number of things. It's so pretty you might want to just hang the vase and leave it empty.
Start with a glass jar with handle. if you don't have a jar with handle you can wrap heavy duty wire around a mason jar, pickle jar, or something similar.
Find a nice piece of wood for the glass vase to hang from. In this instance the wood was a decorative cutting board that already had a hole for hanging. How perfect!
Paint the wood board your desired color. I had painted this piece for a past project and never used it. The backside was painted white and I distressed the white paint.
Next find a hanger to attach to the wood board. I came up with three possibilities from my junk stash. Curtain tiebacks are perfect for projects like this.
Next drill screw holes for attaching the hanger then screw to the hanger to the board.
Next hang the glass vase from the hanger on the board and hang the whole thing on the wall.
The glass vase can be used to hold flowers, candles, pretty bath soaps, etc. I added flowers to the vase. Very pretty.

Wow! This is So Cute!!! I was at Our local, 6 blocks away Goodwill, and saw like 6of these! Kicking myself now for not grabbing them.😒 Absolutely Love how the glass probably sparkles! I was thinking hanging candleholders for our covered patio, or solar lights!
Not sure but they may have been small ice buckets, maybe?
