Easy DIY Beach Inspired Wall Decor (All Dollar Tree Supplies)
I absolutely love the Dollar Tree Shore Living Collection! In my area, this collection sold out quickly. I was able to purchase the Shore Living stickers, Starfishes and Sand Dollars. I love Beach Theme decor, so I was inspired to use some of the Shore Living items to make my own Beach inspired wall decor. Also, Dollar Tree started selling these chic teal border picture frames. I thought these picture frames were great to use for Beach theme wall decor. All craft items were purchased from Dollar Tree. This craft project is so simple, that kids can even decorate the picture frames. These DIY wall decor will not have the glass covers. These are more like shallow shadow boxes.
- 8 Picture Frames (4 x 6)
- 4 sheets of blue glitter paper
- 1 small bag of seashells
- 1 Starfish
- 1 Sand Dollar
- Shore Living stickers or beach inspired stickers
- Adhesive gemstones
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks (not in the picture)
- Aleene's Tacky Glue (not in the picture)
- Heavy duty glue like e6000/gorilla glue/liquid fusion (not in the picture)
- Scissors (not in the picture)
- Pen or Pencil (not in the picture)
Shore Living stickers, adhesive gemstones, blue glitter paper
Starfish, Sand Dollar and Seashells
1). Remove the backing, tabs and glass covers from all 8 picture frames.
2). Reserve 4 picture frame backings. Remove the stand from all 4 picture frame backings.
3). Grab 4 of the picture frames. On each picture frame, use tacky glue to glue the picture frame backing to the picture frame.
This is how the back of the picture frame should look.
4). Using the glass cover as a template, trace the outline with a pen or pencil on the glitter blue paper. You are going to cut out 4 glitter blue paper rectangles (4 x 6).
5). Using tacky glue, glue the glitter paper to the glass cover. Then use the hot glue gun to glue the glass cover on top of the picture frame backing. Repeat this step with the other 3 picture frames.
6). Grab the remaining 4 picture frames (no glass covers). Using a heavy duty glue, glue the picture frame on top of the frame with the glitter paper. Let dry for 1 day.
7). Mermaid Theme- Decorate the center of the picture frame with mermaid stickers and adhesive gemstones.
8). Starfish Theme- Using a hot glue gun, glue the starfish to the center of the glitter paper picture frame. Then decorate with the shore living or beach inspired stickers and adhesive gemstones.
9). Sand Dollar Theme- With a hot glue gun, glue the sand dollar to the glitter paper picture frame. Then decorate with the adhesive gemstones and shore living or beach inspired stickers.
10). Sea Shell Theme- Use a hot glue gun to glue sea shells to the glitter paper picture frame. Then decorate with the shore living or beach inspired stickers.
You can hang these diy Beach wall decor in your living room or bedroom. If you can't make it to the beach, you can bring the beach vibes to your home! Good luck!
