A customer asked if I could paint an actual home plate sized wood sign with his little boys birth details on for the boys bedroom wall, why sure I can come up with something ;)

this is the finished result but here is how I got it done below
I had my carpenter (AKA husband) cut a 1X6 plank into 3- 17" pieces then pocket jig them together. From there we measured the angles need to recreate the actual home plat size. This was then painted 2 coats of Fusion picket fence white paint and left to dry.
On my computer I tested many fonts to give them to choose from, they went with this. Once the birth details and name were the right size I printed them out. I like to trace them onto the boards once in the perfect location with a chunky tip pencil
Then the hand painting begins. I like hand painting over vinyl for a realistic and hand crafted feel. I added red "stitching" to the top and bottom edges and gave it a power sand and a couple coats of wax to again add to the hand crafted look and feel for this sweet sign that will be a conversation piece for years to come for this little baseball loving boy.
