How to Easily Hang Beautiful Peel and Stick Wallpaper-Step by Step

Hey Friends!

I am so glad that you are here. I so enjoy our time together. Don’t you just love updating the rooms in your house? Especially if it is quick and easy-and makes a huge impact? Me, too! Today, I am going to share how to hang peel and stick wallpaper to update your dining room. Come on, I will show you how I did it.

Doesn’t it look beautiful?

I liked my dining room before, but it lacked warmth, and the character that was there just didn’t show. I wanted to transform it, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of time or money on it. I wanted it to be quick and easy.

The woodwork almost disappears.

I chose to hang a peel and stick wallpaper. I chose a Grass Cloth patterned wallpaper. It is so easy in install. If you don’t have it lined up perfectly, it is super easy to remove and reposition it. And, after a while, if you decide that you don’t want the wallpaper anymore, it’s easily removed. The peel and stick wallpaper is is mess free. No more, wallpaper paste, water or stress.

Step 1: Using a tape measure, measure your wall where you want the wallpaper and add two inches.

Step 2: Start in the corner where it will be seen the most. You wont want any seams or cuts here.

Step 3: Position your wallpaper in place, leaving extra wallpaper at the top and bottom, this way you will have clean cuts along your ceiling and base moldings.

Step 4: Smooth out any air bubbles and make sure that the wallpaper is adhered well to the wall.

Step 5: Using a blade cutter, trim around trim, outlets or at the ceiling. Using a straight edge is very helpful.

The “Before.”
This is the “after.” Doesn’t it look great?

I love my “grass cloth” wallpaper. It is gorgeous! It adds the warmth that I wanted and it was so easy to do. Get the “grass cloth” wallpaper here.

I love how the woodwork stands out now.

I love that the peel and stick is easy to hang and it’s not messy, however, there are a few things that I don’t necessarily love about the peel and stick wallpaper. It doesn’t stick really well. I think that it is because it is removeable. You can see in this picture that there is a gap in the seam. But, it could be user error. Next time that I use it, I will overlap the seams a bit.

There are so many choices and patterns when looking for peel and stick wallpaper, it’s cheap, easy peasy and it’s so easy to remove. It’s a great way to easily transform a room and it’s perfect for the beginner. Here are a few choices that I love.

Floral Tree Wallpaper
Grey/white Brick Wallpaper
Black and White Floral
Sapphire and Gold Wallpaper
Morris Floral Botanical
Shiplap Wallpaper
I enjoy the peaceful feeling of monochromatic design.

I love the transformation of my dining room. I only added the wallpaper and changed out the drapes, but it made a huge difference. And the best part is that I did it in only a couple of hours. You can get the drapes here.
