How To Install a Scrap Wood Wall #WallCandy

The back wall of my bonus room/art studio is one of the only vertical spots to hang artwork in the room. In addition to making it a feature wall, I wanted to maximize the art hanging space with some ledges.
I used almost all of the pallet wood and scraps that I had lying around my workshop! I purchased just a few 1 x 4 pine boards for the ledges. Then made those new boards look old!

This plain wall got an amazing makeover using scrap wood I already had!
Before, it was just a painted wall with nothing special.
Add construction glue on back of boards.
Once the board is leveled, I secure with finish nails.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
Are the ledge boards just wedged in place?
Would brad nails also do the job of holding the boards in place while drying? Could you also be specific as to what type of construction adhesive you used? It all looks great. Thank you
