YES HAVE A TRI FOLD SCREEN'
If your flat screen is mounted on the wall, depending on the size you might be able to find wall art a bit bigger and simply hang the piece over the flat screen. If TV is sitting on top of an entertainment unit, just learn a large art piece against the TV. Some people have made their own frame to size needed and used a shower curtain or fabric they love stapled onto the frame to create light weight art pieces that will work well for large wall areas or in this instance for a TV hiding piece of art. Good Luck!
Another thought is to paint the wall the same color as your flat screen. Then it simply disappears into the wall.....black!
Can you build a wall unit around it then have doors that close.
If you can't then use a frame that is slightly bigger than the TV. This can be mounted above the TV. This could be mounted on a piece of wood used as a bracket. Then you can remove it when you want to see the TV.
So, Throw it out.
Hi, False Wall Screen - Build a cabinet - use gear to lower it - Buy a Mirror TV them when it is off it will just look like a mirror!
Put it by the curb....it will disappear

Not sure if this will work well in your home, but you could paint the wall black and the TV will disappear. My daughter did this and used silver accents/framed pics around the TV and it looked very modern and sophisticated.
