Repurposed Books Into Unique Coat Rack - Back to School Old School

60 Minutes
What's a girl to do when she has too much junk? She teams up with 7 other junkers to crank out some one-of-a-kind creative reuses for junk!
For my project, I turned old books into a unique coat rack. It's such an inexpensive project, because thrift stores carry so many old books for $1 or less, that they usually end up throwing out because they didn't sell. Libraries often give away books their discarded books as well. With just a few coat hooks, screws and a scrap board, anyone can create this.
The fun part is selecting the colors and sizes for your coat rack, but you can paint book covers to match your decor if you can't find the colors you want.
You'll find the full, detailed tutorial at the link below, along with links to all 8 creations from our junk team!
Hang on every word with this unique repurposed books coat rack!

All you need are some discarded books, a scrap board, coat hooks, screws, some glue, plummer's metal tape & wall hangers for the back.
The finished coat rack makes a real statement piece of decor that is useful and keeps unwanted books from ending up in a landfill.
