Prepare & Paint Concrete | Garage Floor | Paving Paint
Painting concrete can be tricky. Follow my step by step process for a perfect finish on your next concrete or paving project. Watch my in depth video at the end for the full step by step process.
Bare concrete can look ugly with stains from oil, vegetation & dirt. It's very hard to keep clean!
1st step in the painting process is to clean thoroughly. Sweep or blow clean then an acid wash followed by a water wash.
1st coat is thinned with turps or water (depending on the paint used).
2nd coat is full strength. Remove that masking tape!
Watch my in depth video showing the stage by stage process

Hi Geoff, Nice job.
Question: if the painted floor gets wet, is it slippery?
Looks great!!! What size garage? And how many hours did you work each day? We are old and have to rest every so often!
What if there are quite a few cracks--will this work to cover those up?
