Laundry Room Stenciled Floor Tile
We moved into a brand new build (this was my last house) but that ceramic tile was just not my jam.
I decided I wanted to give it a
makeover. Heres the before.
I cleaned the tile and rinsed it really well.
I then added two coats of primer for a good base.
After my primer dried I put on two coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Limestone.
Once that was dry I could add my stencil!
I scooped this stencil from Michaels. It’s a 12” and fits perfectly over the tiles.
I used a blue chalk paint and a paint brush with hardly any paint to brush my stencil over each tile. Using just a little paint helps prevent excess paint seeping around the stencil.
I’m very pleased with my crisp lines. I also keep a wet paper towel handy to wipe off the stencil as I go to keep it as clean as possible.
I repeated the process over each square. This took a couple hours but it was well worth it.
Once the entire floor was stenciled and dry I used a water based poly to seal the floor. A few coats and it was done.

I wouldn't use that bc it covers the look of little specs of dirt. I like mine as bland as possible so when I clean, I know it's clean
