How to remove caulk from tub, we used too much

We caulked our bathtub and too much squeezed out, now we have excess on the top of tub. Help?

Razor blade might work. Holding it almost flat and scraping it up. I used one to get caulk off the bottom of our shower.

Soak with alcohol, & use a razor blade! Then re-caulk it or the rest will come up too with using alcohol. If it's just excess on a line, use the razor blade to cut a line, & then go under it & should peel off for you.

Most hardware stores have a plastic tool for removing caulk without scratching or cutting the surface of your tub. So no mold will grow, I feel it's best to remove it and start over.

When you get ready to redo the caulk use the painters tape to keep from getting too much caulk use on wall and edge of tub. Use a wet finger to smooth the caulk then remove the tape and you should have a neat caulk line

To add to @Delores Snellen tip with paint tape. Best tip I was ever given was to use a wet sock. Put your hand in and use a finger to remove exsess. Roll sock up as you go and throw it away when your done. Beats using that plastic tool that gets you and it all gummed up with caulk. Would work great with the tape trick.
