I am planning to change mine out with the new wood plank ceramic or vinyl ones. The ceramic is cooler to feet the the vinyl but both are beautiful and low maintenance around dogs.Helpful Reply -

I am replacing laminate with hardwood. I love tile, but have had numerous back surgeries and arthritis in my feet and it is too hard a surface, wood is much more forgiving. I like the new vinyl products and are looking at them for bathrooms and kitchen. Flooring is personal and pricey. Consider your lifestyle - kids, pets? Barefoot year round or socks or shoes? Ease of maintenance? Look at all those factors before choosing.Helpful Reply -

I love the look of the laminate wood flooring and also the wood look tiles. I guess it depends if you have any pets or not, or what climate you live in.Helpful Reply -

You should look at the latest floor craze - LVP (luxury vinyl planks). We installed it 3 years ago and love it. Goes down so easy, looks like wood, and durable (we have 4 dogs), quiet and no scratches. I manage a DIY Home Improvement Group on Facebook with 20,000 members and it is a hot topic in my group right now.Helpful Reply -
