When install plank flooring should all floors go in same direction?

They should go in the direction you want them to go. Usually run with the longer dimension of the room. Herringbone, diagonal, or square are among other possibilities if you are feeling creative. And you can do one of those in one room and lay boards parallel to the side walls in the next room. -

I would think it depends upon whether you are dealing with an open concept space or individual rooms...if open concept then yes, all should go in the same direction, if there are doors separating the space, you can switch the direction (and even the colour) easily -

. They can, but they don’t have to. It’s your choice. My bedroom and bath have porcelain tile that goes one direction then I put the living room and dining room on a slant. Looks great -

that is a matter of personal taste. I have a large great room that we put the flooring on the diagonal but the hallway is straight because it would have taken many difficult cuts to make it match. I like it though.
