depending what zone you're in. Inside though any time of the year -

The most opportune the would be by April 15. I have put them in as late as the first of june. You won't get tomatoes untold late in the summer depending on the life of the plant you put in -

You can still grow plant established tomato plants now,you will probably get a late crop yield. -

I just planted some seedlings within the last week or so. They will probably will not yield as many but I will have tomatoes into October or November. BUT, I am in So. CA which makes a difference. I set out my first plants in March this year and every 3 or 4 weeks, set out a few more for an abundance of tomatoes throughout the growing season.
