When is the best time to plant Day Lilly bulbs in Northeastern PA?




I have day Lilly bulbs that someone gave to me. Can anyone give me information on when is the best time and the proper way to plant these? Thank you!!

Is it safe to replant peony?

I've heard it might be tricky. Is it true? What is the best way to that? It's this year's plant. No flowers yet.
Fall is the best time to plant perennials, but since winter is already here in NEPA, plant them in the early spring. Keep them in a cool dark place like a basement or garage until you plant them (not in a plastic bag). They may take longer to sprout in spring, but you should be able to salvage them.
If you live in a colder climate, plant them in the spring after the last danger of frost has passed.
If you live in a warmer climate, plant them in early spring or late autumn.
If you plant them in July through September in conditions of heat and high humidity, they stand a good chance of rotting.
