I did this in my tomato patio containers last year with a little bit of used coffee grounds, and cut up banana peels in my soil and had huge successes! You can also crush egg shells and spread them around your plants (on top of soil for containers and ground) not only to provide nutrients but for pests such as slugs and other critters--the tiny broken shells are like walking on glass for them.

Have a question about this project?
Are there only certain flowers or plants you can plant in this pot with the egg?
It will be ok to use it with succulent and cactis?
