Phlox are Back

I love phlox there are so many beautiful colors, and care is minimum.
All I do is water them and let Mother Nature do the rest.
They are a bit invasive, every seed that falls to the ground becomes a new plant.

Love the look of these. We have to be careful what we plant as we abut natural bushland and many a lovely garden plant has escaped into the bush and become an invasive natural weed to the detriment of the native plants up here in the mountains. I always check the website for our area for noxious weeds before planting. It is hard to find stuff to plant that does not reseed or send out runners or rhizomes by way of multiplying its numbers. Anything that fruits we also have to be wary of as birds eat the fruits and deposit the seeds far and wide in their droppings. Lucky you to be able to have these in your garden!!

You have a great collection of phlox, Luis. I always found powdery mildew a bigger problem with them than self-seeding.
