Amaryllis. Definitely not Starburst Lily and the petals follow the shape of the Amaryllis, more so than the Daylily., but since there is a familial relationship between the two, it's easy to be mistaken either way, from a picture. That strong, very straight stem says definitely Amaryllis to me.. :)

It sure is! It's amazing to see it growing outdoors in NJ. I see them inside all the time but not outdoors when up north. Southern climates have them outdoors.

AMARYLLIS family,,,, on the S. Oregon coast the grow wild.... many are the pink ones called BELLA DONNA... they will mulitply and make massive clumps, beautiful displays

They are growing in the ground in the Los Angeles, CA. area. Here in NJ they are grown indoors.

In michigan we grow them in pots. My mom has gotten a bulb each year for Christmas for several years. They are Magnificant to watch grow and bloom.
