How to care for succulent plants?

I love succulent plants, but they always died on me, what am I doing wrong, how do I care for them?

Succulents store water in their leaves and use it as they need it -- like a camel does in its hump(s). Water from the bottom, and they will absorb all it needs. Pour out what remains after about 15 mins. Water again in about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks, or when soil is dry to the touch when you stick your pinky finger in all the way. You were probably over-watering. Also, they like bright but not direct light.

For me, succulents grow like weeds, I have tons of them. Very hot, very dry where I live so mine take a bit more water than normal. Keep us posted!

Succulents need very little water and I killed a few before I realized I didn't need to water them nearly as often as my other plants. Now that I don't water them so much they grow like crazy and I have to transplant to larger pots.
