I am wondering how to help my holiday cactus bloom?

It has bloomed at Christmas time 1 year, then it blooms at Easter the last several years. It is root bound, but they like that, also they only get a few blooms how can I improve on that?

Cleo, I watched several of these videos, and this one seems to have the info you need. They are a beautiful plant. My Mom had one for many years and now my daughter has it. It blooms every December.

if you set it in a darker place for about 10 days and then put it back where it normally sits, it should start to bloom. Mine is weird, it'll bloom 2 or 3 times a year, then not bloom for a couple years. But mine is pretty old, about 15 years

I put mine by a north window. It notices when the days get shorter so it’s in a room that doesn’t stay bright with lights really late in the day. It gets its light from the window and not a lot of indoor lighting. It has bloomed every year since I put it there.
