Put it in front of a window and water it like any other house plant....be sure to turn it now and then so it doesn't grow on one side....in the spring, plant it outside, being careful to keep all the dirt around it that you can. I had one for years....finally gave it to my step son and I think he still has it inside.Helpful Reply -

I would do internet search or talk to an arborist or at a good trustful actual greenhouse, ask them what is the best way to keep the pine happy until it is safe to plant. Ask about watering, light and if you should fertilize it and with what.Helpful Reply -

"You may wonder “can you plant your Christmas tree after Christmas?” and the answer is yes, you can. Replanting a Christmas tree requires some planning, but if you are willing to plan ahead, you can enjoy your lovely Christmas tree for years to come." https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/christmas-trees/plant-your-christmas-tree.htmHelpful Reply -

your county ag. agent should be able to help with this project. If there are master gardens in your county they can be a great resource.Helpful Reply -
