How to keep newly planted flowers alive?

Just planted 36new little trailing verbena in 3 large pots...12 in each and now I find out it will be over 100 the next 4 days. How do I keep them alive in this heat?

Put them in the shade until it cools down -

Make a shade for them. Keep them watered. -

Water them in the evening or morning while it is cool. If they appear dry in the daytime, spray the leaves. -

Shade would be key, but don't cover them tightly, as they will cook -

Verbena is easy to grow. It can tolerate some heat but with 100 degree heat water them really well each morning.
