Must strawberries be planted to hang?
I received some strawberry plants, and they look beautiful in the flower pot I used to plant them. But all I've seen are hanging planters, and since I've never planted any before, I wondered if they must be able to hang down once planted.

No, we are in Massachusetts and we have some in the ground and in regular pots and the are both doing very well. -

I have mine in hanging pots, but I also have squirrels, chipmunks and rabbits galore, so they are safer hanging. I have had them in the past in pots on the porch and they have done well too.
