The fluctuations in weather can be daunting for us flower lovers! There always seems to be too much water or not enough. Many times we water and fertilize our flowers but neglect our bushes. It might need a few nutrients! While I do not have one of these, I have seen bushes tend to get "old"...just ike me I guess! Here is a good link to read up on this...seems mulch is a good thing for them...https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS751US751&ei=sO4lW6fWEqXP5gK9rL6YDw&q=what+do+you+feed+butterfly+bushes&oq=what+do+you+feed+butt&gs_l=psy-ab.1.2.0l5j0i22i30k1l5.366408.431869.0.436002.38.36.2.0.0.0.83.2374.36.36.0..2..0...1.1.64.psy-ab..0.38.2381...35i39k1j0i67k1j0i20i264k1j0i10k1j0i22i10i30k1j0i13k1j0i13i30k1j0i131k1.0.e5J4ymk9vZ0Helpful Reply -

Right now it just needs a lot of sun to recover. As long as it has a bit of green poking through it has a chance to survive. Even though they do not need much fertilizer because it promotes greenery rather than flowers, I think it could benefit from a bit of fertilization. Try and see.https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/butterfly-bush/fertilizing-a-butterfly-bush.htmHelpful Reply -

Thank yo you all for the suggestions, I have given this Bush fertilizer. I only wanted it to live so badly because it belonged to a 97 year old man that I nursed and loved dearly. He passed in Oct and he loved this Bush so!Helpful Reply -
